Rip Watch
Rip Watch is officially over! The 12 year veteran was signed today for 2 years, $10 million with a third year as an option. He was waived Monday by the Pistons, and it has been speculated all week that he’d end up in Chicago. Well, now it’s official. He will begin practicing with the team tomorrow at the Berto center, and status for him playing on Friday in the first preseason game is still unknown.

Rip
Rip is the absolute perfect fit for the Chicago Bulls. He’s a veteran, that came out a low price who has a lot of skill. Rip is a three time all-star with the Detroit Pistons, and also a NBA champion. What Rip brings to the table is much larger than a guy who can score and find his own shot. But he also brings experience, and leadership. The Bulls are an extremely young team. Other than guys like Boozer, Korver, and a few others, this team is only a few years into their career. And no one has won or even been to a championship on this team. Rip is the perfect fit for Chicago. Considering our other choices (Crawford, and Richardson) I think we ended up with a fantastic player. Gar really sat back and waited for the right guy, Rip is that right guy.
